Sharing the Empowering Joy of Story

Done well, storytelling involves every member of an audience in creating a world, giving everyone a boost to their confidence, understanding, and self-value. It’s this commitment to being Engaging, Participatory, Inspiring, and Creative that makes us Epic.

Whether it’s our regular spot at Glastonbury Festival’s Kidz Field, a talk for  a local history club, a workshop to support cultural organisations at the Norfolk & Norwich Festival, one of our five Arts Council supported theatre tours, or anything else, this is what you’ll get when you meet us at an event.

Recent Success Stories

“I was particularly impressed because my class are quite young, and some of the stories are quite long, but despite that they were really engaged in them. The way they’re written brought the children’s imaginations alive.”

Helen – Teacher, Pupils aged 4 to 6

“You really know how to keep a kid’s attention! Your storytelling is in no way condescending. Your characters are problem solvers, and having heroes who think their way out of problems is very good for a child’s confidence. We never have to worry that your stories aren’t going to have depth, or might be too frightening. You don’t write to stir up emotions, you write to stir up thoughts, and that is a valuable difference between what you do and what a lot of the ‘big names’ do.”

Dan, father of 8-year-old Elsie

“Children, parents, and teachers all benefited. I wish more institutions will use Epic Tales to develop more curricula.”
